Branding and
Identity
Let your voice be heard
Your logo is the face of your brand and the key element of your identity. It is important to be consistent in the use of the logo and any extensions of it for professionalism and immediate recognition of your brand. I will develop a set of standards guide for the use of your logo and its use in print and web applications.
It’s important to establish a color palette for use in all print and web media to further anchor the brand. Additional color extensions and their potential uses can also be included in the brand update. Color palette guidelines will include formulas for CMYK, RGB, HEX and PMS and color chips. Execution of all colors in the palette will also be shown with visual examples to include gray and black and white applications.
Typography is an important part of your brand and should have the ability to be applied alone or alongside graphic icons and elements. Choosing the right font combination for titles and headings, body text, quotations and any printed materials or web pages not only look professional and stylish but they shine a positive, creditable light on your company and its values. We provide usage guidelines for both print and web typography.
Supporting graphic elements are used to draw attention to a specific messages and complement typography and photography. Graphic elements include containment boxes, call out shapes, patterns, and icons.
Photography is also an important part of your overall brand. Photos can bring all types of feeling into the message they are placed into. It may be fine to shoot photos from your iPhone from events to post on your Facebook feed, the case is not the same for images you use in printed materials and your website. I will include guidelines for capturing photos and proper usage.
The final portion of the standards guide combines all parts of your brand and provides example applications for print ads, brochures, signage, displays, social media and other web-based apps and pages. You will be given layout templates using Adobe Creative Suite to use in house if you choose to do so.
